FAQs - Frequently asked questions
If the editor and student cannot agree on the delivered work, it is important to contact us via our info@thesispro.be email. Clearly describe what you think the editor has fallen short on. If the editor has not delivered sufficient quality or delivered the work too late, a partial or full refund for the student can be provided. It is essential to include all details and any supporting evidence to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently.
As an editor, it is important to clearly demonstrate your qualities in your profile and show where you can add value. For example, if you are very skilled in SPSS and Excel and have experience processing quantitative data for theses, you can ask for a premium of 10% on top of your standard price. This ensures you are rewarded for your specific skills. It is also important to only indicate the specifications in your profile where you can actually provide support. This way, the algorithm will connect a student who needs help with, for example, references, to an editor who has also indicated 'references' as a skill. This increases the chance of successful collaboration and satisfied customers.
Always ask the student to submit the text in Word. Turn on the 'Track Changes' option under the Review tab so the student can see exactly what has been changed in the document. You can of course also agree to only add comments on content and not apply track changes (and only use track changes for example layout). This depends on the mutual agreement with the student.
To ensure anonymity, intellectual property and the risk of not getting a refund, it is extremely important that all communication and document exchange happens through ThesisPro's functionalities. It is important that editors understand this exclusivity; otherwise, work cannot continue on the platform.
A supervisor and a ThesisPro editor have similar accents in their work, but there are important differences in their roles. Your supervisor mainly gives content feedback and advice on the direction of your dissertation or thesis. A ThesisPro editor, however, goes one step further. In addition to giving comments, a ThesisPro editor proactively works on improving your text. They focus on strengthening the structure, improving readability, and deepening the analysis in your work. An editor functions more as a 'partner in crime', who works closely with you to take your dissertation to a higher level. Where a supervisor mainly advises, an editor can actually work on the text itself. They help you not only identify problems, but also offer concrete solutions and improvements. This makes an editor a valuable addition to your supervisor's guidance, especially in the later phases of your writing process.
You can do this 48 hours after completing an assignment and at least 7 days after the student has paid on the platform. Navigate to the Payments tab and click Pay out. Why this period? We give the student 48h to report any disputes and processing a student payment takes 7 days. If you have any questions, you can contact us via info@thesispro.be.
